Rainy days

Eva lounging before bedtime, she was obviously tired.

Daddy and his girlie!

Daddy took the girls for a run in the park while I slept on Saturday morning.

They had a picnic after the run!

We went downtown on Saturday to go to a pumpkin festival.

Hay maze, they loved it!

They pet some ducks and bunnies.

Got balloon animals and of course they were puppies.
If you look really close you can also see Eva in this pic.

The hay ride! Ella is always taking care of her sister.

Is that not the best hay ride you've ever seen. :o) They liked it so thats all that matters.

Football Saturday! Ella likes to play the fumble game with daddy.

Ella also likes to play baseball when daddy has time to play.

We finished the perfect Saturday with a fire and smores. yummy! And tried cousin Mike's new invention a smore with a reeses cup instead of herseys choc. and we loved it.

Eva with her balloon animal.

Well we haven't been doing too much, had a few playdates due to crappy weather, although it kind of forces us to stay home and relax something we all need to do. We are still catching up from our trip to Minnesota. We stayed busy over the weekend like always. On Sunday we went to church and then did some shopping and stayed home the rest of the day. Got some chores done and relaxed! Eva now goes to Sunday school and had a fantastic time, she made a necklace and got animal crackers/choc. and colored. She's a big girl now, she says. Again, her big sister is there with her to take care of her.  They are both so big now and play wonderfully together, most of the time. They love to have dance parties, in Ella's bedroom with the music loud, lights off, and jumping on the bed. The girls, Ella especially, could listen to music all day long while coloring or playing. And yes they both know the words to most popular songs on the radio. They surprise me sometimes, knowing more words than I do. Time flies by! I hope everyone is enjoying the fall, my favorite season!

Evan and I brought the girls to the mall on Thursday because they needed to run around and play since they were stuck in the car the day before and it was too cold to play outside. They had fun!

Auntie holding baby Brody!

The girls dancing at the wedding dance.

Still dancing, they had such a good time!

Ella dancing with Ginny, she was teaching her some rhythm.

Mike and Ginny with Ella. They are the next to get married next May so the girls have another dance to look forward too.

Somethings funny, not sure what but its a cute pic!

Ready to go down to the reception; all glammed up!

Swimming, the best part about staying in a hotel.

The boys in the wedding party; half groomsmen and half ushers. They all got college sports hats that had a story behind it, Evan got OSU.

Uncle and Brody.

Evan and I at the Zac Brown Band concert!

Going to the Zac Brown Band concert.

Me and Auntie Jenna, Eva took this pretty one. We were making truffles.

Ella and Eva got free cotton candy, they were pumped.

Running back to the car from the Cubs game.

The pics are going to be out of order now due to pics from my phone and pics from the camera. I could spend the time moving them around but I think we all can figure it out with the captions and it already takes plenty of time uploading all the photos. Anyways, we had a wonderful time in Minneapolis with Auntie Alana and Uncle Jon and their new baby Brody and at Evan's best friend Steve's wedding. We traveled home on Wednesday, leaving around 6am so we could be in Chicago at 1pm for the Cubs game. We stayed for about 3 hours and then drove the rest of the way to Uncle Jon's. We all had a great time at the last Cubs game of the year, we got 3 autographed baseballs, free cotton candy, plenty of stickers, and had great seats. It was so nice to spend time out of the car, it really broke up our day. Thursday we relaxed and tried to rest up for the rest of the weekend. Friday we left for Grand Rapids around 1pm so Evan could make the rehearsal at 5pm. Grandma and Grandpa met us there around 6:30pm so they could watch the kiddos while I met Evan for the rehearsal dinner and Jon and Alana could meet us later for drinks. Grandma and Grandpa were in heaven with their 3 angels. They had a lot of fun and probably still feel their love now because I'm sure they are exhausted from the weekend. We kept them up late at night and they agreed to let Eva sleep with them both nights. The girls enjoyed every minute of it and are telling their friends and the bus driver that they got to stay in a hotel with their grandma and grandpa. :o) The pool area was a hit, a huge pool and hot tub, 2 slides, 1 babypool. We left Sunday from the hotel after saying our goodbyes to grandma and grandpa :o(  and stayed the evening and night at Uncle Jon's again. I think they are probably super happy to have some quiet time, life with 2 older kids is a bit crazier that life with a newborn, in different ways I guess! We appreciated them having us! We left around 9am on Monday and drove the entire way back home, got home around12am. Yep it was a long day but all worth the drive. And did I mention it snowed on Friday, I could not believe it! It's nice to be home to warmer weather.

I for once did not have to work on Friday overnight so had the energy to have fun with the girls on Saturday. First stop, Jolly Pirate, the donut place. :o)

Saturday night after movie time, we watched Hocus Pocus we had a fire with smores. Sweet beginning and ending to the day!

On Sunday I had to work in the afternoon so the girls spent the day with daddy; watching football, playing baseball, eating ice cream.

They are doing what they call the hot dog dance. :o) Its a nightly show!
Ella took this pic of Eva and their puppies.

They were playing baseball with daddy.

Ella is catching a grounder...she is getting pretty good.

after baseball came blizzards from DQ, they love their daddy.

Aunt Becky and Uncle David came back to show us their new camper on Thursday, the girls loved playing in it. Just their size!

Ella in the camper on the bed.

Uncle David is giving them a ride.

Cool pic, Ellla is throwing a beanbag and Eva is throwing her coat.

We went downtown on Wednesday to Slice of Columbus, a childrens hospital fundraiser, where are the area pizza joint serve all you can eat pizza and we judge the best pizza in Columbus.

oh and free ice cream from DQ.

David helped Evan bottle his beer on Friday! The end result which gets to be enjoyed in a few weeks.

Jets Pizza

I think they are getting a little big for that ride and the entire babies r us store. Sad!

The zoo fall festival was yesterday, they had pumpkin carvers there. Pretty amazing!

And lots of mascots!

Eva's favorite pumpkin!
So angelic, they were posing by a baby elephant statue.

Ella and Eva got front row seats to watch this lady feed the tiger. They loved it!

The mascot caravan. They paraded around the zoo!
We watched a Jack Hannah show, pretty amazing to be in the same room as him.

He told us many important facts about the animals they showed; a penguin was one of them.

And this nasty snake!

And a warthog!

We got to pet many animals; Flamingos

Turtles!

Baby Kangaroos

Thats how close Eva got to him as he was signing an autograph for her. :o)

I completely forgot to blog last week, I swear I did it. I guess I was a little sleep deprived from all my nights in a row. I have thoughourly enjoyed every night in bed since. :o) Although I have developed an itchy rash from an autoimmune responce to a virus. Nothing I can do about it but it is slowly going away, just very irritating. It's not contagious, although Becky and I both have the rash so I'm wondering how. Anyways the girls don't have it so thats the most important part. They do however have a cold, but most kids do because of the change of seasons and school starting. They still have the energy to have fun and drive me crazy everyday. :o) Last week we spent catching up with our friends over playdates. We went downtown on Wednesday and Dave and Becky arrived Thursday and stayed till Saturday. A little longer than expected but wonderful to have them here, the girls are getting pretty attached to them. Hopefully it wont be long and we will be together again. On Friday we bought a couch and bless their heart Dave and Becky were here to move it and help transform our new living area in the dining room. Looks very nice and Evan has already been in there enoying his sports without us girls. :o) The zoo day was yesterday and we had so much fun, the best zoo experience yet. It was the fall festival so there was a lot more going on than usual, as you can see from all of our pictures. Jack Hannah was a highlight for all of us! Hope everyone is ready for fall, because its here!
