Camping

Ella and I riding on a banana at the ice cream store.

Ella and her trike. She is getting better at riding it. She still struggles to get going.

Ella and the firetruck.

Ella was trying to jump over this stick that spun, she tried very hard but was just a little too slow. Pretty funny to watch.

Ella playing at the trike-a-thon. There were little stations they could stop at and this one was a water one. She liked it!

Uncle David and Ella. Looks like they're walking on water. It was shallow even far out.

Us in Lake Erie.

Real sand so soft and fluffy when it wasn't wet. I thought this would be a cute one to frame.

Naked baby in public.

Roasting a marshmallow for smores.

Eva and I on the Ferry!

Ella is sure a copycatter, since Uncle David was checkin out the boats so was she. He didn't even know she was there.

Since the island was 4 miles long we had to take a taxi downtown so we didn't get a chance to swim in the lake again so we stopped by some fountains to cool off. Ella loved them.

Ella's an oompa loompa. We stopped at a chocolate store and looked around and had some ice cream.

I thought it was cool the sign said Crystal Cave, we actually also stayed in Crystal Rock campgrounds.

Ella was petting and feeding the deer. Not sure what kind they were because they were big but still had spots like fawns. Interesting, they were pretty tame.

Well we had a great week and even a better weekend. We had some playdates and went to the Graeter's Ice Cream store to play indoors one day due to rainy weather. We got to see ice cream being made and enjoy some of it too. We also had Ella's trike-a-thon on Saturday morning. It was a moms fundraiser to raise money for the Ronald McDonald house here in Columbus. It was a lot of fun and we raised $550 so it was a good turnout. We didn't plan on doing anything on the weekend but Evan's aunt Becky and Uncle David were camping 2 hours away from us and wondered if we wanted to come and visit. We did and had a wonderful time, we went swimming in Lake Erie and took a Ferry boat to Put-In Bay Island. It was like we were on some tropical island, for 1 it was freakin hot and 2 it was so full of tourist attractions. The only way to get to the Island was take the Ferry so many people just lived there during the summer because in the winter the Lake freezes over and they are stuck on the island. Of course, there are grocery stores and stuff so it wouldn't be that bad, probably like Cando, ND. :o) Thanks Uncle David and Aunt Becky we had a great time and got in some camping for the summer.
