The girls stealing Aunt and Uncle's van, they were definitely spoiled. Ella is not allowed to get in the front since she put pennies in our CD player over a yr ago.
Eva in action!
Eva and Auntie cuddling.
I love this pic..auntie's running to catch Eva and Ella's climbing up the wall.
Ella slept with auntie and uncle more than once and it seemed she did just fine with that.
Uncle brought an animal cd; its full of their pictures of animals they have seen throughout the years. The girls loved it!
They all went to feed the ducks.
Bye daddy! She didn't mind but we did and wanted multiple hugs so by the time we left she was glad we were gone.
Evan and I right before our getaway weekend.
Ella and Uncle made a tent to help make naptime fun...it didn't work, still no nap.
Eva is pretending to talk to Uncle David on the phone.
Uncle pusing the girls plus a friend, Ivy.
Loungin!
Eva lovin up to uncle.
The girls ready to go in to Ella's t-ball game in the van.
That is neither Evan nor I but it was a great picture and really captured the area and the idea of what we did. It was so much fun. It was a 2 1/2 hr. tour through the trees of the hocking hills. There was 10 ziplines and 5 skybridge and 1 repel. I was a little nervous to do it but it was super easy to do and so much fun flying through the air at an estimated 35mph.
Evan hanging off the side!
Evan and I on a bridge.
Me and my gear.
Me at dinner on Saturday night, we at a little restaurant on the patio.
Our cabin; very small, very clean but very nicely tucked into the woods. Perfect!
Cedar Falls, we did a little hiking. Had been here before but not seen this part so it was cool to see some falls.
Logan lake, it was very warm. We didn't swim but we now know where we can go close to Columbus that has a beach.
Evan enjoying after our canoe workout.
It was a beautiful day, around 80 degrees, sun shining. The water looked nasty but we learned that this was the cleanest river in the state or something like that. It just looked dirty from all the rain they have had recently.
Positive thing...we didn't tip! Good thing because we were both wearing white. Athough neither of us had ever canoed. It was very challenging and lots of teamwork was neccessary. The first 5 min. down the river we were turned around and running into trees in the middle, we finally caught on and it took us close to an hr. to go 5 miles down the river.
Evan in the hot tub! Amazing!
A deer was waiting for us when we arrived at our cabin. The only one we saw the entire time.
Me at the top, we just arrived at our cabin.
Ella in her stance waiting on deck.
Eva and Ella in the background hitting.
Ella's new stance.
Evan and I had our 1st getaway this weekend, thanks to Auntie Becky and Uncle David. We had a marvelous time as did the girls. Evan and I stayed in a secluded cabin in the woods; we sat in the hot tubs lots, watched movies, went canoeing, ziplining, hiking, shopping, and was able to have conversations without interruptions which was the best part. :o) Acutally it was all pretty magical, I can't imagine how boring life would be without our 2 wonderful daughters but to escaped just for a couple days was much needed and very much appreciated. Thanks so much Dave and Becky! They arrived Thursday so that they could see one of Ella's t-ball games, this one was not the best for her, she was tired and zoned out but still did an ok job. Ella has decided that she does not need a nap anymore so we have been trying it and it doesn't seem to go too well for anyone. She's ultra crabby and still does not fall asleep easy or early at night so we try our hardest to get her to sleep. Eva and Ella did just fine without us, there was barely any crying our wining about them missing us. Ella just wanted us there at bedtime but that was all, we called to check-in often so we knew they were just fine and we were only an hr away. This is the last week of t-ball for Ella so I hope she enjoys it, I know we have enjoyed every minute of it. I think we will take a break and then try dance in the winter to give her something to do otherwise still counting on speech
