Merry Christmas

I probably won't be writing until after the holidays as we going home on Friday. We are super excited and a little scared of the cold weather we are about to be in. Ella has had a cold, so feeling a little icky. Now, mommy is getting it just in time for the holidays. She is starting to rock more on her knees but still no crawling. We did get a new (2008)bigger SUV, a Ford Edge so when we went home we would have more room. Well anyways its not working so its in the shop, lets hope it's done in time to bring it home. Well I wish everyone a Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. I pray everyone makes it safetly to their destination.

In the pics: She is wearing her winter hat in the house because when we got back from Indianapolis our apartment was freezing since Evan had turned the temp. down. She just hung out like that for awhile. Super cute! And yes we got a picture of her 1st time with Santa. She hated him but we finally did get a smile out of her. Perfect!

Play date/ Business in Indy

Sorry no pics from the trip thus far, we forgot our digital camera. I won't miss any memories though, I bought a disposable camera. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, just in time for a Pacers BB game. Aren't I lucky :o) It was alright! Monday, Ella and I did some shopping and got settled into the room. Today its rainy and Ella seems like she might be getting sick. So, unfortunately we decided to stay in all day. It just gets long in a little room. Tonight we will go have drinks and dinner and the hotel, it's free. At least we'll get out a little. Tomorrow we plan to have a big day at the shopping mall. Anyways last week we had another play date with little Aiden. He is now smaller than Ella but moving quicker. He also has 2 little teeth poking out. I don't think Ella is far behind him. She is starting to get on her knees and rock. The babies weren't that interactive, it was kind of surprising. Maybe next time! So we are excited to come home. We are home for a week and than gone again for 2. It will be busy but I am looking forward to it. Let's just pray Ella doesn't get sick.

In the pics: Ella and Aiden are so cute! They even have matching hats. She just got a new big girl carseat, as you can see she likes it.

Thanksgiving/Cleveland

On Thanksgiving Day I had to work 7a-5p. Evan and Ella came over to the house to have turkey dinner with us. So it was nice knowing I was getting paid to eat and visit. You can see Katie really likes Ella, actually she likes babies in general. So we had a good weekend. It was nice to get away. We went to Clevland to go to a BB game and to do some touring of the city. We went to a science museum and a natural history museum. Ella was really good, and she definitely enjoyed the pool. Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a long weekend. Can't wait to leave for the holidays. We leave Dec. 19th, counting down the days.

In the pics: The picture of the house is the house from "A Christmas Story" the movie. It was filmed there in Cleveland. We didn't go in it due to the long line, as you can see. Also, the pic of her in her in her swimming suit, she is doing her favorite beauty pagent wave. The one with her all bundled up was so cute because I had to hold her up. It was obviously a little harder to sit up all with 20 layers on. The last pic, is of her shot wounds. She had to get 4, but she did alright, I guess. She is now 19lbs 9 oz and 27 3/4 in. long. She is a big girl, at the 90th percentile for both weight and length.

Diaper Rash

Sorry its been awhile again. This has been a busy week for me, I've been working more hours and Ella has had diaper rash. So Ella has been going commando as much as she can and I don't necessarily want to leave her unattended. She also has been waking in the middle of the night a couple times, which makes me even more tired. It's a lot harder to catch up on sleep after night shifts when I can't even get a good night sleep. But, its all worth it for my little one. Whatever she needs, mommy will do. So the cold has finally hit us here in Columbus. It is even blustery, reminds me so much of ND. IT SUCKS! But it is almost Thanksgiving so its about time it turns cold. Not much planned for Thanksgiving here, I have to work from 7-5 on Thanksgiving day so Evan and Ella are coming over to the house and having dinner with us. At least we get a good meal and I don't have to cook. ;o)Then on Friday we are heading to Cleveland for the weekend to go to a Cleveland Cavaliars game and tour the city a little. Basically just get away for awhile. Hope all is well with everyone. Stay warm and Happy Thanksgiving!

2nd week of NOV.

Can't believe its already the middle of Nov., Christmas will be here before we know it. Which is ok, because we get to come home. That also means I have to find time to shop. Although, Evan and I will be going to Indianapolis the second week in Dec. for the entire week for Evan's work. So, I think Ella and I will have lots of time to shop. So, not much has been happening here. I have been working lots this week so have been pretty tired. Last night Evan and I got a couples massage. It was extremely relaxing. There is a spa at our gym so Ella went to the child care center while we got our massage. Ella has been rolling around like crazy, no crawling yet but she sure knows how to get where she wants to go. She also sits up real well by herself and has been smiling on cue to the camera, as you can tell by the cute smiles we have caught lately. Hope everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit!

Grandma Donna's Gone :o(

So mom just flew out today, I miss her lots already. We had a good time, started Christmas shopping already. Mom helped get our house ready for the cold, put up plastic on the windows. It was actually kind of difficult for us, but we had fun doing it. Mom was a wonderful grandma and watched Ella on Sunday so that Evan and I could go to Cleveland for a Browns football game. We had a good day away from Ella and grandma thoughouly enjoyed her day with her grandaughter. So the picture with her in the sink was grandma's idea, but she really liked it. Gas as you can see is only $1.93 here, we are so ecstatic about it. Hopefully, it will stay like this for awhile. We also got Ella's 6 months pictures taken, I don't believe they are online yet but when and if they are, I will let you all know. As you can see she was a kitty for Halloween, it didn't last long though. Friday (Halloween) we went shopping all day at an outlet mall so she was extremely tired when we got home. She was in bed by 8:30! Hope everyone enjoyed Halloween, we were lucky to have grandma here for Ella's first Halloween. Before long it will be Christmas and we will be home for the holidays. Can't Wait! Almost forgot to mention, we bought a new car. It's a 2008 Ford Edge. Evan is extremely happy since that will be his new wheels.

Family time

It was so nice to have family come and visit. Ella warmed up to them very nicely. She actually didn't play strange at all, so grandma was really happy about that. She even giggled for grandma, I don't even get that. We stayed busy while they were here. Evan had to work Thurs and Fri. so grandma, Ella, and I shopped. Friday we took Mary and Mark out for their 28th anniversary to Genji's, a Japanese steakhouse. It was a new experience for them, and I think they really liked it. The boys then went to a hockey game and the girls went home and watched a movie. Then on Saturday we went to the gym, shopped, and came home to relax. Evan and Grant went to another game, instead of a hockey it was a football game. They had lots of fun. Grandma and Grandpa left around 10 on Sunday morning and we were very sad to see them leave. Time just flies by, but that means Christmas will be here before you know it. Hope all is well with everyone.

Pumpkins

Halloween has turned into our favorite holiday. There is so much going on here in Columbus to celebrate the holiday. We just recently visited a huge pumpkin patch and enjoyed hot apple cider and pumpkin pie at a barnyard place. It was so much fun, as you can tell it was really chilly, so we bundled up as much as we can. We also went to a Pumpkin Festival, where everything was pumpkin. For example, Pumpkin fudge, Pumpkin creme elephant ears, and pumpkin ice cream. We watched a parade and enjoyed looking around the vendors crafts and items. We saw the largest pumpkin, which was 1342 pounds, and the largest pumpkin pie. Pretty cool! Then we carved the pumpkin we got at the pumpkin patch. Ella seemed to enjoy it! Can't wait for family to come. Mom and dad Lindahl are leaving tonight and driving through the night. Lets pray they arrive safetly tomorrow afternoon. Take care!

Play date

We had another play date yesterday with Aiden and Erin. It was super fun and more enjoyable this time because they are getting older and more aware of one another. Ella is starting to sit up better and starting to hold her own bottle. She enjoys trying new fruits but not so much the vegetables, she has mommy's sweet tooth. So we just recently joined Life-Time Fitness, a big gym close to our home. It has a daycare center so we can just drop Ella off and Evan and I can work out together. They also have 2 big pools, sauna, and 2 jacuzzi's, so it has been fun for us. It is also nice we get to spend time alone, even if we are working out. Ella has been doing surprisingly well being left at the daycare center. Of course, I was nervous to leave her but I think with all the little kids around her, she is occupied and doesn't even know mommy and daddy aren't there. The weather here has finally reached fall temps. Today its only 60 degrees! Hope all is staying warm in ND, I know its a lot colder there.
