Our getaway

The girls stealing Aunt and Uncle's van, they were definitely spoiled. Ella is not allowed to get in the front since she put pennies in our CD player over a yr ago.
Eva in action!
Eva and Auntie cuddling.
I love this pic..auntie's running to catch Eva and Ella's climbing up the wall.
Ella slept with auntie and uncle more than once and it seemed she did just fine with that.
Uncle brought an animal cd; its full of their pictures of animals they have seen throughout the years. The girls loved it!
They all went to feed the ducks.
Bye daddy! She didn't mind but we did and wanted multiple hugs so by the time we left she was glad we were gone.
Evan and I right before our getaway weekend.
Ella and Uncle made a tent to help make naptime fun...it didn't work, still no nap.
Eva is pretending to talk to Uncle David on the phone.
Uncle pusing the girls plus a friend, Ivy.
Loungin!
Eva lovin up to uncle.
The girls ready to go in to Ella's t-ball game in the van.
That is neither Evan nor I but it was a great picture and really captured the area and the idea of what we did. It was so much fun. It was a 2 1/2 hr. tour through the trees of the hocking hills. There was 10 ziplines and 5 skybridge and 1 repel. I was a little nervous to do it but it was super easy to do and so much fun flying through the air at an estimated 35mph.
Evan hanging off the side!
Evan and I on a bridge.
Me and my gear.
Me at dinner on Saturday night, we at a little restaurant on the patio.
Our cabin; very small, very clean but very nicely tucked into the woods. Perfect!

Cedar Falls, we did a little hiking. Had been here before but not seen this part so it was cool to see some falls.
Logan lake, it was very warm. We didn't swim but we now know where we can go close to Columbus that has a beach.
Evan enjoying after our canoe workout.
It was a beautiful day, around 80 degrees, sun shining. The water looked nasty but we learned that this was the cleanest river in the state or something like that. It just looked dirty from all the rain they have had recently.
Positive thing...we didn't tip! Good thing because we were both wearing white. Athough neither of us had ever canoed. It was very challenging and lots of teamwork was neccessary. The first 5 min. down the river we were turned around and running into trees in the middle, we finally caught on and it took us close to an hr. to go 5 miles down the river.
Evan in the hot tub! Amazing!
A deer was waiting for us when we arrived at our cabin. The only one we saw the entire time.
Me at the top, we just arrived at our cabin.
Ella in her stance waiting on deck.
Eva and Ella in the background hitting.
Ella's new stance.

Evan and I had our 1st getaway this weekend, thanks to Auntie Becky and Uncle David. We had a marvelous time as did the girls. Evan and I stayed in a secluded cabin in the woods; we sat in the hot tubs lots, watched movies, went canoeing, ziplining, hiking, shopping, and was able to have conversations without interruptions which was the best part. :o) Acutally it was all pretty magical, I can't imagine how boring life would be without our 2 wonderful daughters but to escaped just for a couple days was much needed and very much appreciated. Thanks so much Dave and Becky! They arrived Thursday so that they could see one of Ella's t-ball games, this one was not the best for her, she was tired and zoned out but still did an ok job. Ella has decided that she does not need a nap anymore so we have been trying it and it doesn't seem to go too well for anyone. She's ultra crabby and still does not fall asleep easy or early at night so we try our hardest to get her to sleep. Eva and Ella did just fine without us, there was barely any crying our wining about them missing us. Ella just wanted us there at bedtime but that was all, we called to check-in often so we knew they were just fine and we were only an hr away. This is the last week of t-ball for Ella so I hope she enjoys it, I know we have enjoyed every minute of it. I think we will take a break and then try dance in the winter to give her something to do otherwise still counting on speech

Busy!

Ella riding her to-small trike. She has finally mastered it and its time for a new one.
See..Eva seems so close in size to Ella. Crazy! They just got done swimming in the pool and were going upstairs to get dressed.
Ella with my best friend Jenna's puppy Roxie. Jenna had a graduation party on Sat. She just finished her masters and got a job teaching OB clinicals where we went to school. Congrats to her!Ella riding Jenna's horse.
Eva riding Jenna's horse.
Choo Choo! They are in the last car.
There they go, they loved it!
Mommy and Ella trying to build a pyramid...daddy had to finish.
Ella and Eva bustin a move. I swear I did NOT teach her to dance. The guys in the band made comments about them dancing and people beside us were laughing at the girls.
Ella is starting to pick out her own clothes and dress herself, usually its backwards but its on. What an accomplishment, good job baby!
t-ball team pics.
Ella's t-ball pose.
Eva playing with Eli. We had a playdate with Aiden and Eli last weekend. It was great to see them.
daddy's mini me.
Eva enjoying the atmosphere of the pool, the pool was just too cold and too scary for her.
Mommy and daddy golfing. We went alone; set the camera and ran to pose.
I look like a great golfer, right! Well I didn't golf at all, I was Evan's assistant. I was tired from working the overnight the night before so I sat in the cart and enjoyed the beautiful day and peace and quiet of the golf course. We did have a great time, though!
Ella making her creations, mommy bought a new picture holder for the wall so I needed some nice art work. Will post the new holder next week.
Daddy got blood taken and had red tape applying pressure to his wound so Ella did the same thing with a red necklace.
Ella wearing her t-ball gear, it finally isn't 100 degrees out. I was so sad I had to miss this game, I had to work.
Ella with a towel on her head to dry her hair.
We went to Easton to watch Gnomeo and Juliet, unfortunately we got rained out but that meant we got home and hour earlier to Ella could go to bed. We told her we could rent it to finish it and still have yet to do that. Eva stayed at home asleep with a babysitter.
Sorry I did not post last week before I even thought about it, it was already Thursday and I still did not find the time so there are lots of pictures for this week. I had to work 42 hours last week which is way more than I ever work. It was all worth it though, big paycheck and this next weekend time off. Evan and I are going away alone with no kids, which hasn't happened since we got married. We are so excited, well a little nervous, of course because we've never left them but they will be just fine with Auntie Becky and Uncle David. We are going to the Hocking Hills which is about an hour away and are staying in a secluded cabin in the woods. We will be hiking and sleeping in and reading and canoeing and enjoying peace and quiet. All sounds so marvelous! We have been keeping busy checking off our summer to-do list. We took Ella to an out-door movie, finally made it to the pool, and Evan and I went golfing. We have been slacking on the moms club events because we just havent had time and it has to be something to fit both girls because Eva is quite busy these days so I need to watch her closely. Eva is getting more teeth- her final molars I believe; it doesn't seem to affect her though so thats good. Growing like a weed, it seems like she is almost as big as Ella. I took her to the Dr. yesterday for a little rash she has and its nothing to worry about I guess, Dr. just said to watch it. So we will see! Not sure if I have ever mentioned that she has an obsession with hair well but she has found new ways to get hers/others wet this week. She loves hair but wet hair is better, I guess, so she dips her hands in the pool and then plays with her hair= wet hair and she also takes the rags that are laying next to the sink to clean the girls' face and uses to get hers/mine hair wet. What a goof ball! Its fun to watch her. Ella is speaking more clearly everyday but we are waiting to get her a speech assesment to see if she qualifies for speech, still concerning. Mommy and daddy have troubles understanding so that means everyone else does also and she does get frustrated by it so we want to help her solve that problem. Plus we decided not to put her in early preschool so she has to be doing something to keep her busy and anything to separate the girls for a short while is good. They argue a lot and its annoying and one on one time with Eva would be nice. Well I hope everyone is making a good transition to fall and the new school year.
