Ella's 1st baseball game

Chrissy left on Saturday morning, so it was a quiet day for us. Ella slept a lot and I did lots of laundry. My cousin Theresa has been sending clothes from her little one for Ella so we had a lot of clothes to wash up and put away. I am so thankful for that, it really saves us a lot of money.
My job searching is not going to well, have applied for like 5 jobs and have not heard back from one person. Although, I have been in touch with my old job and they want me as an independent RN so at least I could work there until I find the job of my dreams or move home. They are really flexible and pay good money so it will work until we move home then I could get the job of my dreams. If I did that I wouldn't feel so bad leaving the job of my dreams.
So we went to a REDS baseball game today in Cincinnati. We weren't planning on bringing Ella with considering she is so young but we couldn't find a babysitter so she came along for her 1st baseball game. We already had an outfit for her to wear because they are daddy's favorite baseball team. The bad thing was we had really good seats but since Ella was with we couldn't enjoy them because they were in the sun and it was 85 out with no clouds in the sky. Evan enjoyed the close seats for the first 4 innings and met Ella and I higher up in the shade. Ella did do wonderful so we are proud of her!
The pictures are of Chrissy and Ella and then of the baseball game. As you can see it is a nice stadium and the atmosphere and surroundings make it even more enjoyable. I just love the river and all the boats! In the picture of Ella and I there doesn't look like a lot of people there at all thats because it was in the 8th inning and the REDS were losing 11-0. So, Evan enjoyed his baseball game so I am happy it went well.

Another visitor

Yesterday my best friend from UND visited. (Chrissy) She just recently got married and moved to Chicago to live with her husband. Since she now only lives 5 hours away she decided to make the trip. I think its good birth control for her, Ella is a good cryer and does a lot of it so I bet its making her think she definitely wants to wait awhile. Ella continues to grow, this week all she has been doing is sleeping and eating. We actually went out shopping today and that was a big mistake because when we go out she likes to look around and take in the environment therefore she doesn't sleep. So, she got really fussy and eventually way overtired. I was thankful when we finally arrived home so she could go to bed. Have only a few new pictures. Evan puts her in her spot in the middle of the couch, she sits so perfectly there and likes it a lot. The other one is a picture of her rolling over (in action). Hope everyone is having a wonderful week, it's almost the weekend.

I'm an RN

Just found out I passed the NCLEX (or as Hope would call it, the KFLEX). I AM NOW AN RN! Now I need to find a job, hopefully it will be one I like. Thought I also better mention Ella rolled over today. Yeah I know it sounds crazy because she is only 2 1/2 months but I promise she did it all by herself. I even got the videocamera out, she did it 3 times. I'm such a proud mommy!

Alone again

So Hope and grandma left yesterday night. We had a wonderful time with them here. I think they're going to miss us lots. It wasn't too sad saying goodbye because we will be home in just 3 weeks to see them again. Ella is beginning to talk more and she smiles lots. We are amazed at just how much she is growing and is able to do. Just letting everyone know she is getting baptized in Cando on Aug. 17th. All is welcome to come celebrate and meet little Ella. Take Care!

Visitors

We got back from Tennessee Monday evening, we were busy putting stuff away and cleaning up a little before our company came. We had a wonderful time, we found out Ella is a wonderful little travler. She already has her fathers sense and desire for adventure. Hope and Grandma Evelyn arrived yesterday. They left from Minot at 4:45 AM, so they were super tired. We haven't done much yet, they are just happy holding Ella. They can't believe how big she is! They tell me its like holding a 5 month old. Well at least she's healthy. Last night she was on her belly and lifted herself clear off the floor, we all couldn't believe it. She is strong and I feel she will be crawling before we know it.

2 month check-up

So daddy came with us to the 2 month check-up, I knew I would need some support as Ella had 3 shots waiting for her. She now weighs 13 lbs and 4 oz and is 24.5 in long. This means she is at the 100 percentile for her weight and length, so she is a big baby. But, she sure is cute and chubby! So then she did get 3 shots and 1 oral med. The oral med she gagged on quite a bit and then projectile vomited onto the nurse. Didn't go so well and not sure how much she acutally got of that medication. And the shots she screamed and cried, and I cried also. So I was consoling her as Evan was consoling me. Glad he came! So I am busy packing us up to head to Tennessee to visit Evan's aunt and uncle. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful 4th of July weekend.
