Family time

It was so nice to have family come and visit. Ella warmed up to them very nicely. She actually didn't play strange at all, so grandma was really happy about that. She even giggled for grandma, I don't even get that. We stayed busy while they were here. Evan had to work Thurs and Fri. so grandma, Ella, and I shopped. Friday we took Mary and Mark out for their 28th anniversary to Genji's, a Japanese steakhouse. It was a new experience for them, and I think they really liked it. The boys then went to a hockey game and the girls went home and watched a movie. Then on Saturday we went to the gym, shopped, and came home to relax. Evan and Grant went to another game, instead of a hockey it was a football game. They had lots of fun. Grandma and Grandpa left around 10 on Sunday morning and we were very sad to see them leave. Time just flies by, but that means Christmas will be here before you know it. Hope all is well with everyone.

Pumpkins

Halloween has turned into our favorite holiday. There is so much going on here in Columbus to celebrate the holiday. We just recently visited a huge pumpkin patch and enjoyed hot apple cider and pumpkin pie at a barnyard place. It was so much fun, as you can tell it was really chilly, so we bundled up as much as we can. We also went to a Pumpkin Festival, where everything was pumpkin. For example, Pumpkin fudge, Pumpkin creme elephant ears, and pumpkin ice cream. We watched a parade and enjoyed looking around the vendors crafts and items. We saw the largest pumpkin, which was 1342 pounds, and the largest pumpkin pie. Pretty cool! Then we carved the pumpkin we got at the pumpkin patch. Ella seemed to enjoy it! Can't wait for family to come. Mom and dad Lindahl are leaving tonight and driving through the night. Lets pray they arrive safetly tomorrow afternoon. Take care!

Play date

We had another play date yesterday with Aiden and Erin. It was super fun and more enjoyable this time because they are getting older and more aware of one another. Ella is starting to sit up better and starting to hold her own bottle. She enjoys trying new fruits but not so much the vegetables, she has mommy's sweet tooth. So we just recently joined Life-Time Fitness, a big gym close to our home. It has a daycare center so we can just drop Ella off and Evan and I can work out together. They also have 2 big pools, sauna, and 2 jacuzzi's, so it has been fun for us. It is also nice we get to spend time alone, even if we are working out. Ella has been doing surprisingly well being left at the daycare center. Of course, I was nervous to leave her but I think with all the little kids around her, she is occupied and doesn't even know mommy and daddy aren't there. The weather here has finally reached fall temps. Today its only 60 degrees! Hope all is staying warm in ND, I know its a lot colder there.

New Adventure

We had a busy weekend last weekend. On Saturday we went to Oktoberfest in a smaller town near ours. We did a little shopping and ate the good ol' fair food. There were a lot of children games but of course Ella is too little. Before we know it though she will be running around. She did enjoy people watching! On Sunday we took a little drive South. It's an area called the Hocking Hills, similiar to the Pembina Hills, but with caves and rocks. So, we did a little hiking and site seeing. We also passed a big pumpkin patch and corn field but Ella was sleeping so that adventure will have to wait till a later weekend. Hope everyone had a super weekend!

In the pics: The first one with Evan and Ella going down "Fat Woman's Squeeze". The next two are just us in the caves. I had to post both of Ella's pics driving because one actually looks like she is driving and the other she and daddy are posing so nicely. And, yes we forgot to bring her snugli, which would have been nice because then we wouldn't have had to carry her the whole time. Most of the trails were not very long, so that helped.

OCT

Can't believe it's already Oct. Time flies by! Again, sorry I haven't written in awhile. I suck at this, lately. I actually haven't felt very good. I went to the dr. on Friday, got blood drawn and waiting to hear the results. Before you know it, it's time to update again and I am tired from working. Still picking up a few overnights here and there, which kind of kicks my butt. But a lot better than spending all day away from Ella and Evan. Ella hasn't done to much more, still really not giggling. She has just recently tried squash for the first time and she seemed to like it. Grandma Donna just booked a flight out to see us. She is coming to visit in the end of Oct. so we are super excited for a visitor. Can't wait to see you grandma! Hope all is well with everyone. Happy fall!

In the pics: Finally get one of Mom and the girls. You always see Evan, Madi, and Ella. Also, Ella in her blue peacoat and jeans from the gap, from grandma Mary. It's super cute. Trying to wear when I can, just starting to get cool enough. The one of her and daddy sleeping, I thought was precious. She really is not a cuddler and to relax and just fall asleep without us bouncer her is pretty amazing. She does love her daddy, though.
