Rainy days

She has become so much more laid back!

Just hanging out!
We have been really lucky all summer because we haven't had much rain mostly sunny, beautiful days. Lately, it's raining and cloudy so we have been stuck indoors.

Ella and I decided we would play outside in the rain in our rain jacket/boots. She had fun but the rain boots she was a little unsteady. They were a little big and I guess a little to bulky. It was cute watching her play and splash in the puddles. We make our own fun even if its messy.

She has become a very picky eater so it is especially hard to get in the fruits and vegetables. Well I have recently figured out she does like peaches but only if she can eat them whole and not cold, so she does and makes a huge mess. But, at least its a healthy treat. Another food she likes is corn on the cob but, of course, only off the cob. Thank God for those 4 teeth she has!
This weekend was pretty uneventful, I worked a night shift and got my hair done and Evan and Ella just hung around the house. We are trying to relax and enjoy the time we have left at home before we leave in 2 weeks for ND.

IT'S A GIRL

I know its blurry..but she is trying to suck her thumb.

We found out Monday that we are having another girl! We or I had a hard time with this concept because for 1) I could always see myself having only boys and 2) I don't want anymore kids. It's very likely in the future-far future we will try for a third-a boy.! Who knows only time will tell. We are happy to know that the baby is healthy so far which is the most important thing. She is getting more active and we could tell she was trying to suck her thumb. How could I not love that. :o) Ella and her will be the bestest of sisters.
Last week was pretty uneventful and we actually didn't take any pictures so I had nothing to share. I am starting to slack! I didn't babysit last week so we just layed low and enjoyed each other. This week we are much busier. On Tuesday we went to the zoo. Ella's 2nd time going, she liked it more this time. We had a great time, although Katelynn the 5 year old I babysit complained a lot. I have never had a 5 year old so I was unaware they needed a stroller too. It was a good day, though!

Ella really liked the Tiger because it came so close to us.

I was worried the goats would bite her..she wasn't very gentle.

Ella's 1st boat ride..She didn't quite understand but it was fun!

This weekend Evan begins his application process for jobs. He is applying for 1 in Minn. so keep your fingers crossed we get it and can move and get a house before the baby comes. Wouldn't that be just too perfect! I work an overnight on Saturday which is my first one since I've become pregnant. I hope I survive, at least Sunday I can come home and sleep because Evan will be home. Well I hope everyone is doing well. Take Care!

Louisville

In the hotel room!

We had a great week/weekend. It has been beautiful here almost every day of the week, which means the park or the pool. We love it! This weekend we went to Louisville, Kentucky to watch Evan's brother Grant play BB. It was a 3 hour drive which was tough on Ella so I'm a little scared what this Aug. roadtrip is going to do to her and us. We'll be driving to Cando first and than Calgary for Evan's brother's wedding. AHHH!

At the BB games running around and playing.

Evan's holding Mickey Mantle's bat.

Babe Ruth

At the Louisville Slugger museum. We got a tour of the factory and got to see just how they made bats. It was pretty neat!

Saturday night at the river, it was beautiful. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack outside on the deck with a great view of the Ohio river.

Since Louisville is home of Churchill Downs (Kentucky Derby) there are horses all over the city. Ella enjoyed seeing them and sitting on them.

We had a great time anyways, touring the city, eating out, and watching BB. Ella was sure happy to get home yesterday. She loves running around. She is learning so much. She can stomp her feet and turn around and attempts to jump but her feet acutally do not leave the floor. It's super cute to watch, though.

I am so proud at her potty training abilities thus far, I will be buying pull-ups here soon to see what she thinks. She still has a little trouble pulling her pants off herself but hopefully she will be able to feel that she has peed a litte more in the less absorbable diapers. I'm not pushing anything but I still am hoping she will be potty trained by the time the baby comes.

I am starting to feel the baby move a lot more so thats exciting. Next Monday we have an ultrasound to find out what were having. I can't believe we are already half way there. It's going so fast. We will keep everyone informed!

4th of July

Here is my belly! I am almost 18 weeks pregnant and getting bigger. The picture is taken in the evening after a full day of eating so I am not quite that big in the morning.

She continues to do well with the whole potty thing, now all we have to work on is her telling me when she needs to go. I still have to catch her or ask her to make her realize she has to use the potty. I am so proud of her! When she is done using the potty she just gets up and runs around. :o)

The week flew by again as we stayed busy..babysitting, working, and running around. Monday night we went to a Columbus Clippers game, which is a minor league baseball team. We had a good time! I think Ella enjoyed herself also because we sat on the lawn and played in the water fountains.

Tuesday we had a playdate with Erin and Aiden. The babies get along so great now, it's fun to watch them play. It's also interesting to see Ella with another baby her age because she is a lot taller than him.

The weekend was here before we knew it and it started early for Evan cause he didn't have to work on Friday, which was great because that meant we still had 2 days to spend together because I worked on Sunday from 7a-9p. We lounged around on Friday till early afternoon than ran some errands and headed downtown for Columbus's big 4th of July celebration. There were so many people there, we could hardly push through the streets. We walked around, ate, and played a few games until the fireworks at 10p. Ella was certainly ready to go but we didn't want to miss the best part. We actually ended up watching them from our parking garage so we could leave a little early and beat the traffic.

On Saturday we went to Cincinnati for a Reds game. Ella was such a good girl, she slept the entire way there and back. It rained throughout the entire game but thank god we had seats way up high underneath the scoreboard. Bad seats have never been better. We had a great time!

Sunday I worked all day and Evan and Ella had a great time together.
