Boston trip

We had a wonderful time in Boston, touring the city and visiting relatives. Ella did wonderful traveling- she didn't mind the airplane at all. In fact, she slept and looked out the window on most of the flights. We got in Thursday and didn't do too much, just tried to get settled in. Friday, we went into the city to look around, we did some of the Freedom Trail and saw some historic statues and sites.


Evan wanted to get to the Sam Adams brewery so that was one of our first stops. He enjoyed himself, only because he got lots of free beer. The brewery was surprisingly very small.


We then went to Quincy Market, a shopping center by the port. Next, we walked farther to an Italian district to eat some authentic Italian food. The restaurant we ate at was very little, it probably could only hold 25 people. The food was amazing though!

Finally, Evan and I went to the Red Sox game while Ella went home with my cousins Carla and Jacob. I was a little nervous leaving her (like always) mostly because she was so overtired. She did very well though, so I had nothing to worry about. Although, I was so exhausted from walking around all day with little sleep in the 95 degree weather. Plus, we had standing room only tickets, I would have done anything for a seat. I did sit on the cement and watch the game on tv for quite awhile just so I could rest. It certainly doesn't help being 11 weeks pregnant.




On Saturday we went to Jacob's little league game which was very fun for us but it was freezing out, then we had the rest of our family over to BBQ. We had fresh lobster, which Evan had never tried. He liked it! We then went to the beach to see the ocean- it was too cold though to put our feet in.







Sunday- We went closer into the city to go to my aunt and uncles to have breakfast and than went to more little league games. It was fun! Although, after leaving the little league games I got really sick, throwing up. I thought it was just pregnancy issues but I was sick all night long. I think I was just so overtired and exhausted. We watched movies in the evening and rested.

Monday- we went to a little parade and went home to pack and than to the airport we went. We got home around 7:30 which gave us enough time to get Ella ready for bed and unpack to welcome more family.


Grandma and Grandpa Lindahl and Uncle Grant arrived around 9pm. It is so nice to see them, we actually haven't seen them since Christmas. So Ella has changed drastically since they last have seen her, of course, the webcam helps keep up with her changes but it still is not the same as holding and hugging their little granddaughter. We are looking forward to the week with them.

Well we have been busy getting ready for our little getaway this long Memorial Day weekend. We are going to Boston, Mass. to visit family and do some touring. Hopefully everything goes well for Ella! I am such a nervous wreck traveling with her. I worry about her sleeping, nap schedules, and eating not cause we're on such a tight schedule I just know that she needs her sleep and away from home is different. She is also developing her own sense of taste, it happens to be a very picky one. It's a pain in the butt, and since I like her to eat healthy it's a little more challening away from home. So I hope everything goes well.

I know its a blurry picture, but you can clearly see her crazy curly hair. Hopefully it stays this way as it grows.
We are still doing well with pottty training, she doesn't go everyday but she is peeing and pooping in there most days. I am still a little unsure if she understands but she is definitely getting the end result, which is a sucker. Today she pooped in the potty and when we were celebrating she pointed up to the counter for her sucker. What a sweetie! She has begun to giggle more so that is exciting for us. I know it sounds weird, she is a happy baby but always makes funny noises as if she trying not to giggle. Who knows!
Last week we had a playdate with Aiden. We had so much fun, the babies were all over each other. They were hugging and kissing and running around like crazy little toddlers. They were so cute.

Ella's favorite place to play is in a cupboard. It contains our cereals and syrups and boxed baked goods. They all get carried and dragged around our house and I swear I pick them up 100 times a day. Once there out they're no fun to play with so we put them all back and then have fun pulling them out again. Evan likes to put her in the cupboard, just to see what see does. Well, she likes it!

Great Week

Last week was wonderful. Hope and I had lots of fun doing nothing together. The weather here was gloomy and rainy most days so it limited our activities. We did leave the house once each day just to get out. We were hoping time would go real slowly if we were lazy, I think it helped! Ella quickly warmed up the Hope, although I think she was so excited for her being here she didn't want to sleep long. She woke early and took short naps. Our kids are so much alike! Evan had lots of fun in Vegas, he did win money but spent it all before he came home. He had so much fun he didn't even take any pictures. I guess that means I could have kept the camera and taken some myself. All the pictures we wanted we took with Hope's camera so hopefully she will email me the pics sometime soon so I can post them. We are sad Hope had to leave so soon but next weekend we are going to Boston to tour the city and visit some relatives, so we are all looking forward to that. Then, when we return G&G Lindahl and Grant will be here, so we won't be alone for long! I am getting anxious to move closer to home. I just hope everything works out when the time comes. Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! Evan sent Hope and I flowers on Saturday so we both enjoyed that. On Monther's Day before leaving for the airport to drop off Auntie I had taken Madi (our dog) out and when I returned she had put a cute t-shirt on Ella that said I love my mom! It made my day!

We are so excited for tonight, Auntie Hope is coming to see us and stay with us until Sunday. Evan is leaving for Vegas in the morning for his brothers bachelor party. Yes, I am a wonderful wife! He will have lots of fun and so will we. I was so thankful we didn't have to stay alone for 4 days/3 nights.
We had our first doctors appt. yesterday. We had an ultrasound and saw our little peanut. Actually it looked more like a gummi bear but still had all of its limbs and was moving around and even waved. So I am 8 1/2 weeks along and my new due date it Dec. 9th. Percect, right before the holidays! It makes it even more real when you get to see the baby, it's amazing. Of course, I still have the nausea so I am reminded pretty much everyday that I am carry a little bundle of joy. Oh what joy!
Ella is walking now and is very busy! She used to love tv but her new love is walking so bye bye to that. She still has NO teeth but they're right on the surface. Hopefully soon! She had her 1 year pictures taken and they turned out great. I will try to figure out how to get the link on here so everyone can look at them. Well I hope all is well with everyone. Dr Visit

We just got back from the Dr. and found out she has an ear infection, no wonder she's been running temps. Other than that I would have never known, she acted normal and didn't pull or tug on her ears. Oh well glad I took her in. We also did part of her well check-up. We found out she weighs 24lbs (90th percentile) and is 31 1/2 in. (over the 100th). She is also developmentally on track. We skipped the shots today considering she already doesn't feel good. Those 3 come next week. Hope everyone is doing well.

It's been awhile since she's been in the pool, she was a little unsure of it right away. I think she enjoyed it though!

Sorry I didn't post last week, this pregnancy is starting to hit me full force. Although, I still have more good days than bad days. We were also busy planning Ella's birthday party and getting ready for our weekend away. She had a wonderful party with some little girls and some of our friends/neighbors. She had fun with her smash cake although she didn't dig into until she fully examined it and poked it for awhile. The party was Friday late afternoon and that night I realized Ella had a fever. We were thinking it was just her teeth and no big deal, gave her tylenol, and put her to bed early. In the morning she still had a fever, gave more tylenol, and was on our way to Cinncinatti for a Reds baseball game. The weather was gorgeous 78, sunny and breezy. Ella acted completely normal with Tylenol on board. We went to our hotel after the game so she could nap and than went out to eat and went to bed early cause we all had a long day. On Sunday- her birthday, we went swimming and had breakfast in the hotel. We got ready and left for the aquarium. She loved it! We got ice cream afterwards to celebrate her birthday and came home. We slept most the way home, it felt good. She finally broke her fever Sunday night so I was super happy but last night was rough. She just didn't sleep well so we are going to the Doctors today. Otherwise I think and hope she had a wonderful birthday. We all had fun! I can't believe she is 1 already.
